Biosketch: Rapid advance in DNA sequencing technologies has opened brand new opportunities for biomedical researches and clinic applications. The paired-end diTag (PET) sequencing methods, invented by GIS scientists, have been integrated with next-generation sequencer platforms such as 454-GSFLX, Solexa GAII and ABI SOLiD. My current focus is to streamline the existing PET methodologies and develop new sequencing approaches including automated PET pipelines for whole genome, transcriptome, and chromatin interactome analyses. We are actively applying the PET technologies to address broader interests in genomic researches and biomedical implementations, through internal and external collaboration projects. Our ultimate goal is to establish a robust and cost-effective DNA sequencing platform to deliver personalized genomics solutions to all patients and individuals. |
