Title:
CHARACTERISING INDIVIDUAL GENOMES

Humans differ from each other by ~0.1% at the DNA level. Once these genetic variants have been identified by whole genome or exome sequencing, the challenge is to characterize these variants.
In this session, I describe resources and methods to identify functionally relevant variants. I will demonstrate how bioinformatic tools can reveal phenotypic traits of an individual, thus paving the way to personalized medicine.
