Recent technological advances are rapidly bringing us close to a future where medical treatments can be informed by an individual's unique genetic makeup. In this session, I will present an overview of existing and emerging technologies that are making this possible. I will also outline the computational challenges and the tools currently available for analyzing this information and reconstructing personal and disease genomes, focusing in particular on cancer genomics. |
