Biosketch:
Graduated from York University with a degree in Genetics and completed a Ph.D. in bioinorganic chemistry at the University of London. After a post doc in Chicago, working on genetics of metal transport in P. aeruginosa, he returned to the UK at the Human Genome Mapping Project Resource Centre, as Operation Manager in charge of teams covering Mouse resequencing and Linkage Hotel projects. Dr. Rhodes joined Life Technologies (formerly Applied Biosystems) in 1999 at the Foster City, California headquarters. He has been a key contributor in the development of Genotyping and Sequencing products for more than 10 years. In his current role as Senior Scientific Applications Manager, he ensures communication and collaboration between the scientific community using Life Technologies NGS platforms and the R&D team at headquarters. |
