Biosketch:
Dr Liu Jianjun is currently the Group Leader and Associate Director of Human Genetics at Genome Institute of Singapore. His main research interest is to understand which and how genetic variants influence disease development. Currently, there are three main research programs in his lab focusing on breast cancer, Parkinson's disease and schizophrenia. In the area of breast cancer research, one of Dr Liu's research focus is to understand how genetic variation within estrogen-related pathways can modify sex hormone-related risk to breast cancer. Dr Liu's lab is also actively involved in genome-wide association study (GWAS) on both breast cancer susceptibility and prognosis. |
